2014 STEVENSON MOTORSPORTS AT ROAD ATLANTA:
No. 6 Camaro Z/28.R – Andrew Davis & Robin Liddell
No. 9 Camaro Z/28.R – Matt Bell & Andy Lally

2014 CHAMPIONSHIP PURSUIT: Stevenson Motorsports took over the championship lead for the first time in the team’s 12 year history when Andrew Davis and Robin Liddell scored a podium finish with a run to second place two races ago at Virginia International Raceway. The Stevenson squad finished fourth in the previous IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge round at Circuit of the Americas, but the fellow championship-contending No. 46 car won the race. Stevenson Motorsports now sits second in the championship five points behind as the team heads into the championship-deciding season-finale at Road Atlanta.

A Look Back at Road Atlanta 2013: Stevenson Motorsports rewrote the record books last year at Road Atlanta, winning the PWC 250 in Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge competition with drivers John Edwards and Matt Bell, and then following that up with a big victory in the Visual Studio Ultimate Grand Prix in Rolex Sports Car Series competition with Edwards and Robin Liddell driving the No. 57 Stevenson Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro GT.R. The win was the 50th GRAND-AM or American Le Mans Series victory for Mike Johnson as a team manager or owner and was the 15th Rolex Series win for Stevenson Motorsports.

PREVIOUSLY…. AT COTA: It was a rollercoaster day for Stevenson Motorsports at Circuit of the Americas as inconsistent weather presented added challenges to the team as it entered the team’s first-ever race as the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Championship leaders. At the checkers, the No. 6 Stevenson Motorsports Camaro Z/28.R of Andrew Davis and Robin Liddell scored a fourth place finish while the No. 9 Stevenson Motorsports Camaro Z/28.R shared by Matt Bell and Andy Lally ultimately succumbed to a clutch issue and netted a 17th place result.

TESTING, TESTING…: Stevenson Motorsports recently tested at Road Atlanta in preparation for this weekend’s season-finale. Drivers Andy Lally and Matt Bell were both on hand to test the No. 9 Stevenson Motorsports Camaro Z.28.R.

WHAT’S NEW?: With the dawn of the new era in sports car racing this season, Stevenson Motorsports has switched their focus solely to the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, competing with their brand new Camaro Z/28.R. This year’s race marks the first time the team has competed at the track solely in Continental Tire competition.

THE 2013 CHAMPIONSHIP: Stevenson Motorsports secured a second consecutive runner-up position in the championship with drivers Matt Bell and John Edwards who combined for two wins on the year in the Chevrolet Camaro GS.R. The team amassed six podiums and finished among the top-10 in all but two races, remaining in contention for the championship all season long.
