QUICK LOOK AT THE BRICKYARD SPORTSCAR CHALLENGE: Stevenson Motorsports has competed in every sports car race at the Brickyard since the GRAND-AM Series first began racing there in 2012. Prior to this season, the team fielded cars in both the GRAND-AM Rolex Series as well as the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge with their best finish to date last year when Robin Liddell combined with John Edwards to score a second place finish as well as clinch the North American Endurance Cup Championship title in Rolex Series competition. In total, Stevenson Motorsports has one podium at the track and has led an impressive 81 laps around the famous road course.

PREVIOUSLY…. AT CTMP: Stevenson Motorsports hit their stride with the new Camaro Z/28.R as they scored their second consecutive and third win of the season at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. While Davis began the race in the No. 6 Camaro Z/28.R in pole position, Bell started not far behind in third place in the No. 9 Camaro Z/28.R and quickly made his move up as the twin Stevenson Camaros ran 1-2 for the first 50 minutes of the race. In the end, the No. 9 came away with the win while the No. 6 scored a fifth place finish.

WHAT’S NEW?: With the dawn of the new era in sports car racing this season, Stevenson Motorsports has switched their focus solely to the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, competing with their brand new Camaro Z/28.R. This year’s race marks the first time the team has competed at the track solely in Continental Tire competition and looks to make the most of the 150-minute sprint race.

THE 2013 CHAMPIONSHIP: Stevenson Motorsports secured a second consecutive runner-up position in the championship with drivers Matt Bell and John Edwards who combined for two wins on the year in the Chevrolet Camaro GS.R. The team amassed six podiums and finished among the top-10 in all but two races, remaining in contention for the championship all season long. With one pole and three wins, both Stevenson Camaro Z/28.R machines remain in striking distance of the 2014 championship.
