VIC ELFORD 62nd Twelve Hours of Sebring Grand Marshall

Vic Elford has been named Grand Marshal for the 62nd Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring fueled by Fresh From Florida. America’s oldest and most prestigious sports car race runs on Saturday, March 15th. Elford won the 1971 Sebring 12 Hours co-driving a Porsche 917 with Gerard Larrousse. He also finished second at Sebring in 1968, the same year he won the 24 Hours of Daytona. Elford won his class twice at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (1967, 73) and has 13 F1 World Championship starts to his credit.

Fox Sports 1 To Air First Three Hours Of Sebring

IMSA.com, FOX Sports Go To Carry Balance of Second Round of TUDOR Championship

FOX Sports 1 will carry live coverage of the first three hours of the 62nd running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida on Saturday, March 15, the second round of both the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship and the Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup.

The remainder of the event will be streamed live on IMSA.com and through the FOX Sports Go mobile app. The IMSA.com stream will feature the FOX Sports broadcast team and be available globally. FOX Sports 1 also will televise a three-hour full race highlight show from Sebring beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, March 16. The balance of the 2014 TUDOR Championship television schedule will be announced next week.

The Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge event at Sebring International Raceway on Friday, March 14, will be streamed live in its entirety on IMSA.com beginning at 1 p.m. ET. The two-hour broadcast will air March 19 on FOX Sports 1 at 1 p.m. ET and will re-air March 23 on FOX Sports 2 beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET.

 

1973 Winning Porsche and Hurley Haywood Return to Sebring

The Porsche that won the 1973 Sebring 12 hours and one of its drivers will be at this year’s Sebring event. The winning Porsche RS owned by Dave Helmick and driven by Hurley Haywood, Helmick and Peter Gregg will be on display in the Gallery of Legends. Haywood, a Sebring Hall of Fame inductee, will take a few laps in the famed Porsche on Saturday morning prior to the start of the 61st Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring fueled by Fresh from Florida.
