Walt’s Weekly – 12 Hours of Sebring

Finally warm weather, not at my home in Connecticut, here in Sebring, Florida for the Mobil 1 Twelve hours of Sebring.

Since Thursday I have been watching the teams practice then qualify for this prestigious 12 hour endurance race.  Tires, fuel, car parts being shuttled around in planned, precious movements from their trailers to the pits and up and down pit lane.

Practice leads to qualifying where you don’t know what a team may be hiding before qualifying, then, after qualifying, all is changed for the race.

Results to follow.
(P)-Prototype – (1st) – Ganassi Racing – Scott Pruett, Memo Rojas, Marino Franchitti.

Ganassi wins on their first try at Sebring and is also the first team to win Daytona 24 hours, Sebring 12 hours, and Indianapolis 500.

(PC)-Prototype Challenge – (1st) – – Brabham, Gue,

(GTLM)- GT Le Mans – (1st) – Porsche – Patrick Long, Joerg Bergmeister, Michael Christiansen

(GTD)- GT Daytona – 1st – Magnus Racing – Andy Lally,
