This week is a slow week with the Detroit International Auto Show, January 16 – January24.
With new car introductions and concept cars here are some pictures. First, The Fisker Force 1, designed by Henrik fisker, previously from Aston Martin DB9, BMW Z8, 10 cylinder-8.4 liter, starting at $285,000. Then the 2017 Lincoln Continental, Buick Avista concept, and Acura Precision concept car.
Also this is the week before the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona, January 30-31st with all its practice, qualifying and other races prior to the 24 hours with the Continental Tire Championship.
Lets not forget where this year, by invitation, Michael Shank Racing with Curb/Agajanian are not only getting ready for the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona, but have been invited to participate in the 2016 24 hours of LeMans.
This team over the years has had tremendous ups and downs and now are going to the 24 hours of LeMans with their crew that many have been around for 10 years and their drivers of Ozz Negri and John Pew, who won the Trueman Award in IMSA COMPETITION, being joined by Laurens Vanthoor, 24, who was in the 2015 LeMans with a Honda-Liegier Prototype of Oak Racing, and turning the fastest lap for the team and also winning the 24 hours of Nurburgring. Having driven the same car last year, is a great advantage for the team and their new driver.
Looking to be at the 2016 24 hours of LeMans, I will be looking to see what this team will have for this race along with other teams and drivers from the US.
