Rum Bum Racing Top Porsche for Oak Tree Grand Prix

1949eedd-c705-45d2-a4eb-ad083fa91749Alton, Va. (22 August 2014) – After a quick 15-minute qualifying session, Rum Bum Racing was first in class of the Porsche machinery when the grid was set for the Oak Tree Grand Prix at Virginia International Raceway on Friday.

A brief rain shower and a small drop in temperatures just before the qualifying session saw the track temps also drop and Nick Longhi put down a fast lap time of 2:00.248-seconds.

“I just really want to thank the team,” said Longhi who will start Saturday’s race from the seventh row on the grid. “They are always working and doing absolutely everything they can to make the No. 13 Rum Bum Porsche the absolute best it can be. They are constantly at work, just trying to get more and more time out of the car and I am really grateful for that. It is a shame the effort isn’t represented on the time sheets.”

Rum Bum Racing will look to move forward when the 2.5-hour race goes green Saturday at 2:05 PM (ET). The event will be streamed LIVE on IMSA.com and will be televised exactly one week later on August 31st at 10:00 AM (ET).
