Here the season for IMSA is the 1st of the 2017 Weathertech Sportscar Championship series, the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona. A legendary race of cars, drivers, teams for 24 hours, once around the clock.  Starts in the day and goes into the night.  I have seen great weather, cold weather, rainy weather, basically you don’t know until that day starts.  I have even seen fog that settles in from the coastline and had put the yellow flag on the field for over 2 hours.  I remember when Hurley Haywood, it might have been his last or second to last race, had fog during the night and the yellow was out so long that he almost fell asleep at the wheel.  Many of these teams have been assembled only for this race along with many teams driving their cars and hoping that they will reliable enough to make the 24 hours, are many goals of the teams. Just have to watch and see what comes about this years Rolex 24 hours of Daytona. Well anyway this week starts it all and watch this Saturday, 2-5 pm, fox, 5-10 pm, fox sport 1, 11-12;30 fox sport 2, Sunday midnight – 12:30pm fox sport 2, 12:30-3pm-Fox sport 1. 25 hours of coverage.  Also available on the Fox Sport Go app.  So settle down this weekend and watch a legenday event happen.
