Walt’s Words–04/20/17

I have finally got my computer straightened out and will be back posting information to you.

I was at Sebring where the weather was great compared to the Northeast where they had that Blizzard and 16 inches of snow, but dispersed quickly.

There was great racing as in Prototype was Wayne Taylor Racing with Cadillac win their second race in a row and Corvette beat the Fords and in GTLM. Porsche could have been on the podium, but to have a front left tire go down and come in to be changed while running 2nd and about 20 minutes left to the race.  They pull in with the team ready for a quick change, only to have the tire changer raise his hand to go while the air gun was in his hand and the air hose was  across the front of the car and ran it over for a drive thru penalty and no way make a podium.

In GTD you saw the many new cars, Acura and Mercedes do very well against some of the regular teams.  The Lexus team needs more time and experience to get up to speed, but I am sure they will be up there sooner then you think,

I Long Beach we saw the last lap, last turn incident and the Porsche pass the Corvette because they were blocked by the accident at that corner.  Well sometimes you win and sometime you loose!

Will be posting more often with more team info.

See you at another race or just around a car event.
