Walt’s Weekly – 2/14/2016

It’s a cold Sunday in **** or in the Northeast.  Woke up to (-11.8F) this morning. One of the coldest days that I ever seen.  I have to say, “Happy Valentines day to all my friends!”.  Warm hearts will prevail this cold Sunday.

Next Sunday is the 1st NASCAR race of the season with the Daytona 500 at the newly remodeled Daytona International Speedway.  This speedway has just gone thru over a 2 year remodel, starting in July 2013,  spending $400 million. Five new entrances with new escalators and elevators for the fans to get to new levels along the nearly one mile long front stretch.

It will have about 101,500 permanent, wider and more comfortable seats, twice as many rest rooms and 3 times the concessions stands.  80 percent  of the metal panels used will be manufactured in DeLand, Florida along with United States Gypsum Corp. drywall, Sherwin-Williams paint,, over 10,000 gallons along with a long list of other contractors to fulfill this enormous project.

One fact that stands out was that all the steel structure for this project amounted to 1% of the total US steel production for this one project over two years.

Congratulations and a great venue to see for all in the future.

I would also like to announce that Audi will be working with me to provide more information about their customers teams and also the Audi cars.  I am looking forward to work with them and provide you more information about Audi.

Safe travels to all!
