Strategic Wealth Racing Prepared For Strong Finish at Road Atlanta

Braselton, Ga. (26 September 2016) – With nine IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge races already in the books, Strategic Wealth Racing heads south to end the team’s sophomore season on a high note this week. Setting the stage for the finale is the fabled 2.54-mile Road Atlanta, a twisty and fast natural terrain circuit set outside of Atlanta. The track has  decades of history as IMSA extends its long record of races at the natural terrain road circuit.

After racing together for almost two full seasons and notching 17 race starts, the duo of Matt Dicken and Corey Lewis look to pilot their shared No. 36 Strategic Wealth Designers Porsche Cayman to the podium in the finale event.

Their second IMSA season brought the Goldcrest Motorsports-backed team three more top-10 finishes and their first podium at Watkins Glen International. In the final 2.5-hour Road Atlanta 150 event the team targets a return trip to the podium to close out the year.

“We’ve had a little bit of everything this season, with some bad luck, some crazy weather, and of course the podium at the Glen, so we’d really like to close out the year on a high note,” said Dicken. “Road Atlanta is a fun, fast place for us to race and we feel like we’ve got a good handle on the car going into the week. The Goldcrest guys know the track like the back of their hands, and it looks to be a straightforward  weather forecast, so hopefully we can close out the year with a big result!”

Sharing the weekend with three other series, the team will have just two quick 45-minute sessions to tune their Porsche Cayman to the track prior to qualifications on Thursday at 4:45 PM (ET).

The green flag is set to fly Friday at 12:25 PM (ET) and will be streamed LIVE on IMSA.TV.
