FRESH OFF BEST RESULT OF 2016: The IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Championship winning team arrives with momentum from its season-best result of fourth at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca four weeks ago. After a spirited drive by Robin Liddell saw the No. 6 Audi R8 LMS in podium contention in the final minutes of the race, the Scotsman ultimately accepted a top-five finish at the checkered flag while the brother No. 9 Audi R8 LMS of Matt Bell and Lawson Aschenbach scored a top-10 finish.

RETURNING WINNERS: When Stevenson Motorsports last visited the Belle Isle circuit in 2013, the driving duo of Robin Liddell and John Edwards took victory with the team’s Camaro GT.R. The Stevenson group also took a podium finish of third at the track in 2012. The 2016 event will mark Stevenson Motorsports’ first visit to a street circuit with the Audi R8 LMS.

NEW LOOK FOR LEUKEMIA/LYMPHOMA AWARENESS: The No. 6 Stevenson Motorsport Audi R8 LMS will have a new look for Detroit as it features the names of loved ones affected by Leukemia and Lymphoma in an effort to raise awareness for cancer research and funding for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. TESTING, TESTING…: Even though Stevenson Motorsports hasn’t been in race action for almost a month, the team has not taken time off. The twin Audi R8 LMS machines put in valuable laps around the freshly repaved Watkins Glen road course and most recently tested at Road America.

CONGRATS TO ASCHENBACH: Lawson Aschenbach took his No. 10 Blackdog Speed Shop Camaro Z.28/R to the the GTS victory in Pirelli World Challenge competition at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, marking his 20th career PWC win. He went on to take another victory in GTS at Lime Rock Park last weekend. Aschenbach remains at the top of the GTS championship standings with 690 points.

ANDREW DAVIS KEEPS BUSY: Lawson Aschenbach wasn’t the only Stevenson driver to spend two weekends racing in PWC competition since the previous IMSA outing at Laguna Seca. Andrew Davis was also in action at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Lime Rock Park and took home three top-10 finishes.
