ANDREA BERTOLINI JOINS RISI COMPETIZIONE FOR 12 HOURS OF SEBRING

Joining full-season Risi Competizione drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Pierre Kaffer, is Ferrari and Maserati factory driver, Italian Andrea Bertolini.

Bertolini is a four-time FIA GT1 World Championship champion in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010 in a Maserati MC12. He also captured the Superstars International Series in a Maserati Quattroporte before moving into the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with the Ferrari F458 Italia GT2.

Bertolini first raced with Risi Competizione in 2005 in the Maserati MC 12 for the 10-race American Le Mans Series (ALMS) where he and teammates Fabrizio de Simmone and Mika Salo took two podiums and nine Top 5 finishes.

“I always have nice memories of Risi Competizione because it is a really strong and professional Ferrari team,” said Andrea Bertolini. “I feel to be in my U.S. family because I know all the guys and Giuseppe for a long time and the atmosphere is special. I will be in the car with two really strong and good friends of mine, with Giancarlo and Pierre, so we have everything on top.”

“Bringing in Andrea Bertolini to join Giancarlo and Pierre at the 12 Hours of Sebring will be a strong addition for us,” said Giuseppe Risi, owner of the Houston, Texas-based Risi Competizione race team. “Andrea is a successful and first-class Ferrari and Maserati driver and we are pleased to have him join us. Sebring has been a good race in the past for our team with three victories between 2007 and 2010 and several other podiums. We want to taste the champagne again in Florida.”
