Patrick Long and Wright in Pirelli World Challenge

Patrick Long is now a driver for Wright Motorsports owned by John Wright (Batavia, Ohio) with entries in the Pirelli World Challenge, Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge and more.

At Canada Patrick who has known and work with this team before, got behind the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 R and captured the GT class pole position in his first race driving the #58 Porsche Consulting Porsche 911 GT3R.

His teammate ad longtime friend Michael Schein (Glen Cove, New York) did likewise in the GT Amateur GTA class piloting the #16 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Both Patrick and Michael with their Wright Motorsports Porsche’s lead from green to checkered flag sweeping the two classes the 911 GT3 R is eligible for, GT and GTA.

On the second day of racing, with threatening weather and turn 3 became wet causing series officials to call for a yellow flag start and when the green flag flew, so do Patrick and run away from the field and miss the accident behind him that lead to a lengthy caution period but maintained the top spot again with Michael Shein for the second straight day.

In all, Wright Motorsports scored four class wins, four fastest race laps and led every lap in the both race classes.

We will have to watch this team as Patrick Long goes for the drivers championship.
