Seven weeks after taking victory at Rolex 24 at Daytona, Magnus Racing continued their podium streak with a third-place finish in the GTD category during yesterday’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Enduring everything from bad luck in pit cycles, to penalties, to a constantly changing weather pattern, the No. 44 Audi Tire Center Audi R8 LMS overcame the odds in dramatic fashion when driver Andy Lally would make a pass for third in the final corner of the race.

“This was an unbelievably eventful race,” stated team owner and co-driver John Potter. “It’s crazy to think of how many events unfolded over the course of 12 hours, but once again we proved how incredible this team is. Everyone showed great resilience to keep focused on the finish, and it showed. This is an incredible start to our season and we look forward to Round Three.”

With two podiums in two races, the team retains their lead in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s GTD category.
