STEVENSON AND ROBIN LIDDELL GO FOR THREE IN A ROW:
After scoring back-to-back wins in GRAND-AM Rolex Series competition in 2012 and 2013 with the No. 57 Camaro GT.R, Stevenson Motorsports and Robin Liddell return to the Glen for IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge competition. Last year’s six-hour race saw Robin Liddell team up with John Edwards to lead a race high lap count of 67 and bring home the team’s fourth win of the season.

STEVENSON MOTORSPORTS BY THE NUMBERS AT THE GLEN:
286  Laps led by Stevenson Motorsports at Watkins Glen
26    Starts at Watkins Glen
5      Podiums for Stevenson Motorsports at Watkins Glen (including 2nd place in debut at the track in 2003 with John Stevenson and Chip Vance)
2      Watkins Glen Victories

PREVIOUSLY…. AT KANSAS SPEEDWAY:
Armed with a win in the 2013 Continental Tire SportsCar challenge race at Kansas Speedway, Stevenson Motorsports arrived at the roval with confidence, but ultimately contact on both of the sister Stevenson Camaro Z.28/R machines forced the team to settle for a mixed bag of results. Despite their results, both Camaros showed incredible strength throughout the race, highlighting the team’s hard work and preparation and they look to capitalize on that at Watkins Glen.

WHAT’S NEW?:
With the dawn of the new era in sports car racing this season, Stevenson Motorsports has switched their focus solely to the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, competing with their brand new Camaro Z/28.R. This year’s race marks the first time the team has competed at the track solely in Continental Tire competition and looks to make the most of the 150-minute sprint race. It also marks the first race laps at the Glen for the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.R’s, although they do arrive at the track fresh from a productive test around the 3.4-mile circuit with the Stevenson team earlier this season.

THE 2013 CHAMPIONSHIP:
Stevenson Motorsports secured a second consecutive runner-up position in the championship with drivers Matt Bell and John Edwards who combined for two wins on the year in the Chevrolet Camaro GS.R. The team amassed six podiums and finished among the top-10 in all but two races, remaining in contention for the championship all season long.
