No. 9 Camaro Z/28.R – Matt Bell & Andy Lally

QUICK LOOK AT CTMP: Fresh from a strong race outing at Watkins Glen, where Davis and Liddell added a second victory on the season while Bell and Lally ran to fourth place, Stevenson Motorsports heads north to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for Saturday’s Round 7 this weekend. All four drivers have raced a wide range of machinery on the dauntingly quick 2.459-mile natural terrain circuit that sits two hours outside of Toronto, and are looking forward to making the debut run for the Camaro Z/28.R a strong one on Saturday.

PREVIOUSLY…. AT WATKINS GLEN: Stevenson Motorsports once again sprayed the victory champagne in Watkins Glen’s famous Gatorade Victory Lane two weeks ago. It was the third consecutive victory at the track for the team who won the Sahlen’s 6 Hours of the Glen the previous two years in Rolex Series competition. Both Stevenson Motorsports cars ran in contention for the podium all race long, but it was the No. 6 Camaro Z/28.R of Andrew Davis and Robin Liddell that emerged to take the Continental Tire 150 at the Glen victory. It was the duo’s second win of the season after also winning at Sebring International Raceway earlier this year. Matt Bell and Andrew Lally took fourth in the No. 9 Camaro Z/28.R, just missing out on a double podium finish for the Stevenson squad.

WHAT’S NEW?: With the dawn of the new era in sports car racing this season, Stevenson Motorsports has switched their focus solely to the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, competing with their brand new Camaro Z/28.R. This year’s race marks the first time the team has competed at the track solely in Continental Tire competition and looks to make the most of the 150-minute sprint race. It also marks the first race laps at the Glen for the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.R’s, although they do arrive at the track fresh from a productive test around the 3.4-mile circuit with the Stevenson team earlier this season.

THE 2013 CHAMPIONSHIP: Stevenson Motorsports secured a second consecutive runner-up position in the championship with drivers Matt Bell and John Edwards who combined for two wins on the year in the Chevrolet Camaro GS.R. The team amassed six podiums and finished among the top-10 in all but two races, remaining in contention for the championship all season long.
