Justin Wilson Looking to Make the Most of Busy May

Indianapolis, Ind. (1 May 2015) – Justin Wilson has a busy schedule ahead of him, and he couldn’t be more excited.

Wilson has been tabbed to join Andretti Autosport for the Angie’s List Grand Prix on May 9th and for the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 24th to pilot the No. 25 Andretti Autosport Dallara-Honda.

That program will take its first on-track laps this Sunday as the Verizon IndyCar Series stages a one-day test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The test will feature the first public running of the Honda aero kit as Wilson looks to learn the new kit configuration as well as get familiar with his new team.

He will then return to the cockpit on Thursday, May 7th, but in an entirely different format when he gets his first taste of the Honda road course aero kit in preparation for Saturday’s Angie’s List Grand Prix on the 2.434-mile road course.

The practice, qualifying, and race day schedule is a busy one for the two-race month, and Wilson will be similarly busy out of the car as well with a month full of appearances, charity events, and autograph sessions in the run up to the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500.

That busy schedule will kick off this Saturday night with the annual Rev Indy event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in conjunction with IU Health, the Methodist Hospital Foundation, IMS and INDYCAR.

Following the test, Wilson will join several other Honda-powered drivers for a visit to the Honda plant in Greensburg, Indiana. And as part of his ongoing engagement to support dyslexia awareness, Wilson will continue in his role as an active supporter in partnership with the Dyslexic Institute of Indiana with some appearances in the Indianapolis market as well as visits at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. That schedule will continue to intensify in the run-up to the Indianapolis 500, and Wilson is looking forward to all that the month has in store.

“With everything that is going on both on and off the track, May is a very busy month, but it is one that I’ve been looking forward to for a very long time,” said Wilson. “It is part of what makes the whole month of May so special. The biggest thing I’m looking forward to is getting on track and working with the Andretti Autosport guys to make the most of the opportunity we’ve got. Hopefully I can help make this a big month for the team and for Honda.”
